This project's purpose was to create a website for a potential business that was real or fictional. Van Wet Design is a fictional design and development company that provides web design and implementation. The website must be specifically catered to its end users, people looking to create their own website. The target audience were small local companies or individuals in Vancouver who are in need for the whole web creation process. Lastly, there is a contact form page that is essential to this project.

Process / Skills Learned

During the course of the project, skills attained and honed were HTML, CSS, JS, wire-framing, prototyping, and teamwork. Being in a two-person team, design and coding were separated and divided. I took the coding aspect and my colleague undertook design. I learned the lego blocks of web development, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. On top of this, I learned to convert design mockups and wireframes into functional prototypes. I learned how to create a contact form that shocked even myself. The website keeps in mind mobile users with the use of media queries. It is through this project I learned that I enjoy working together in a team by collaborating each of our strongest skills.
